Racing to Save Lives
Team in Training is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's triathalon and marathon training program. They have raised more than $660 million for research and for the betterment of the lives of those living with cancer. They have also made strides in raising nationwide awareness of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
I'm participating in the La Salle Bank Chicago Marathon in October in support of my good friend Nikki who lost her mother Bonnie to acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) in April 2003.
Joined by Nikki and the other members of my team, I am running for each and every person in this country who is battling some form of cancer. It is my esteemed privilege to run for those who can't run for themselves. But we can't do it all alone. We need your support. It is the contributions of people like you that help accelerate treatments, cures and hope for patients and their families. Great strides have been made in the fight against cancer, but the road is long. That is the true race we are running.
I would be honored if you could make a donation to support my participation in the Team in Training program. By doing so, we can all save lives.
If you're unable to contribute to the cause electronically, you can also send a check made out to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (or just LLS if that's too much writing!) and send it to:
2845-2 N. Orchard
Chicago, IL 60657
I hope you'll check back frequently to see my progress. Thank you for your support!
