Welcome family and friends to my Team In Training home page.
As you all know Hannah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) on September 10, 2007. The support we have received from all of you has touched us greatly and thankfully Hannah continues to respond well to her Chemo treatments.
As you can imagine, we have learned an awful lot about this disease recently. The reality is that although advances in medical treatment have come a long way, Leukemia is still the number one killing disease of children between 1 -14. These kids, including Hannah, currently have no choice but to endure years of necessary but painful chemotherapy treatments.
I need your help to try and do something about it!!
I am training to participate in two marathons in 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training:
The Country Music Marathon in Nashville - April 26, 2008
The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon – October 12, 2008
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing these events in honor of Hannah and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
