After having a great experience completing the 2005 Chicago Marathon I couldn't wait to get ready for 2006. To make this year's marathon even more meaningful, I've joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.

Across the country thousands of Team In Training participants like me are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Running a marathon can't compare to the daily battles faced by patients with blood cancers but it's an excellent metaphor for their long-term struggle. These patients are the real heroes on our team, and I and others like me need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
