Insanity For A Good Cause

Hello and welcome!

As you may already know, I am training to participate in the 2005 Rock & Roll Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.

Maybe you're here becuase I asked you to donate. Maybe you blindly followed a link from my blog or an e-mail. However you got here, I'm asking you to stop and think for a moment about supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Not only are they researching to find a cure for blood-related cancers, they also support patients and families affected by these illnesses, doing what they can to make their lives easier and more comfortable.

Why Team in Training? I knew I wanted to run a marathon this year. I figured if I was going to put months of work into something, it should be for a good cause. The Team in Training program has been around, and has already helped to raise over $430 million. But they need your suppport. While they have made amazing progress in fighting these diseases, there is still no cure.

Over 75% of your donation goes directly to support research, patient and community service, and public health and professional education. And all of the donation is tax-deductible for you.

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. To donate, use the box in the upper-right hand corner of the page. Any support, no matter how great or small, will help advance the fight against blood-related cancers.
