Update: The race is over!! It's hard to believe. You can go to my blog to read the whole story. www.hollydoodle.com/blog. I can still receive donations up to February 13. So, if you haven't had the chance... go for it!
On July 2, 2007 my sweet aunt Laura passed away six days before her 58th birthday after a brief, and courageous battle with Leukemia. I have always felt a close connection to Laura. You won’t meet a kinder, warmer person. She brought light with her wherever she went. I feel completely inadequate in trying to describe my aunt. She was truly an angel is street clothes. And now, she is my guardian angel.

In memory of my aunt Laura and in honor of my grandma Hochhalter and all individuals battling blood cancers, I am training to participate in the Walt Disney World half Marathon on January 12, 2008. I am a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We have had the wonderful opportunity of meeting some of the local patient honorees. Some super cute kids and inspirational adults. Currently there are ~800,000 people living and battling some form of blood cancer just in the United States. The patients are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

I need to raise $3750.00 and my goal is to raise as much as possible asap. Donations will be accepted up to my race date. Just think, that's only 40 people donating $100 or 80 people donating $50. Any donation of any size matters.

You can go to my blog to see my training progress. I will post updates there regularly. www.hollydoodle.com/blog.

Thanks for your support... I couldn't do it without you!

Update: I will wear a ribbon in my hair on race day for all donations of $100 or more!
