Jim Martin's Ironman Canada Fundraising Page
The Mother Of All Endurance Races to Save Lives
Welcome to my IronMan Fundraising home page.
August is just around the corner and training is in full stride for the 2006 Ironman Canada in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. I know, I know; another triathlon. Well, not really; the Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. This is nearly 4 times as long as any triathlon I've done to date!
I am training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Ironteam. All of us on Ironteam are raising money to fund research in an effort to stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'll compete in honor of a personal friend, Trevor Bachmeyer who, at 32, is battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Lauren Bishop who, at 6, is battling acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).
Please make your 100% Tax Deductible Donation to support my participation in Ironteam and help advance the Society's mission.
Thanks for your support!
