Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am currently training for the Nike Women's half marathon in San Francisco as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
I decided to begin this journey because my family has been directly affected by these horrible diseases and instead of sit aside helpless, I decided to find a way I can help stop these diseases from taking over those already affected, and also stop affecting more people. Organizations such as The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training makes it is possible for advances in research to be made, and treatments made possible that the government would not approve because of funds not being available. 75% of the entire team's raised proceeds go directly towards the cause (education, research, treatments, etc.) I know that it is working because many advancements in treatment and procedures are being made available to my family that were not necessarily available or preformed 5 years ago.
