Hez Aronson's Road to a Half Ironman
Training Hard So You Don't Have To
Last year I learned how to swim, got back into bike riding, and barely made it through running. Plus, I raised over $5200 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. The funds are to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
After my race on beautiful Maui, I also competed in Bay to Breakers, the San Francisco Half Marathon, The Sentinel triathlon AND I swam from Alcatraz. Yeah, you heard me. SWAM from Alcatraz. And at some point I decided it would be a good idea to get in a half Ironman before I tried for the real thing in 2008. What? More grueling workouts again this year? Yes!
This year I hope to complete my first half Ironman, which means swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles and running 13 miles.
Please make a donation to help support my goal of completing a half Ironman and to help advance the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's mission.
