Did She Say Ironman?
Once again, on the road to curing cancer and ending flab!
but IRONMAN hot
Over these next ten months I’ll be training my heart out to end cancer, to meet my goal of raising $8,000 and to complete my first Ironman. I know, it’s a lot of money. But people benefit from it, I swear. The LLS uses 75% of all donations for cancer research and for patient support.
I’ve probably told you this before but this Spring at a party I met a woman who works in the cancer research laboratory at UCSF and she told me that she is able to do the work she does because of the money that Team in Training participants raise. And she thanked me. Just some random woman at some unrelated party. Whoa! How awesome is that? Even though the money I raise goes to Leukemia and Lymphoma research, all cancer research benefits. A discovery is a discovery and it helps down the line.
I can’t even tell you what a giant rush it is to proudly wear the Team in Training colors and to have people yell GO TEAM! when they drive by me when I'm on a bike ride or running. It’s really overwhelming sometimes but completely awesome!
I would be very honored if you joined me in saving some lives in 2007/2008. All donations are tax deductible so let’s dump that money before the New Year! Thanks guys! Check my blog for weekly updates on the pain... www.hezrocks.blogspot.com
