You're Running a (Half) Marathon With Those Little Legs?

Help Fayza & Team In Training Race to Save Lives

Me running my little legs off in the Bayou City Classic 10K Race on March 8, 2008.

Fayza's doing what? You mean the Fayza that laughed and scratched her belly while everyone else went to the gym? The Fayza that lived off ramen noodles and mac & cheese for years at a time? The Fayza that joined a Flag Football team solely for the free beer?

Yup, that Fayza. She is me, and I'm running a (half) marathon!

Okay, I'll back up a little here. I am training to participate in the Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska on June 21, 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. You know me; I love helping people. So what's 13.1 miles, anyway?

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes, and I need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - finding a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. My goal is to raise $3,900, but I can't do this without YOU! Open your hearts and think big, and don't be shy - every little bit goes a long way, too!

In the meantime, keep up with me through this page or my marathon blog! Come back here to see how my fundraising efforts are going! Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress!

It's Anchorage or BUST, baby!

Most importantly, thank you, thank you, thank you for your support! It's not just me you're helping, it's millions of others suffering from blood cancers. We all thank you equally!

Love, hugs & THANK YOU!
