Racing to Save Lives!

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Almost three years ago I completed a half Ironman triathlon, and in doing so, raised over $3,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team in Training (TNT). Now I am preparing to go the full distance, and am tackling an Ironman.

Late last year I began training with TNT’s “Ironteam” for IRONMAN USA, which will take place on July 23, 2006, in Lake Placid, New York. The Ironman is the ultimate in triathlon – it consists of a 2.4 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile marathon run – all in a single day. I was so grateful for your encouragement in 2003, and I am now asking again for your support as I aim to raise $10,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in the coming months. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this Ironman in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes.
