Elizabeth and Aman's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to our Team In Training home page.
Dear friends and family,
Aman had a great race! The Wildflower Triathlon was energizing and we had a lot of fun camping out with the team. We BOTH ran/walked the Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska on June 23rd. Alaska was terrific. The day after the race we headed out to Whittier and rented a kayak for the week. We kayaked and camped and recovered from that long run. It has been a marvelous experience to meet some really great people and realize how generous our friends and family are in supporting this important cause.
We completed these events in honor of people who are close to us who have Leukemia and Lymphoma. Elizabeth's kindergarten student, Keaton, was diagnosed last spring with Lymphoma and has just returned to school. Aman witnessed the difficult struggle against Leukemia that his litte sister Bienshirni endured when she was only three years old. Also, Aman's dear friend Natalia has been battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma since the fall of 2005, and has just announced that she is in remission. Through Keaton, Bienshirni and Natalia we have realized how many people are affected by these cancers and we want to do our small part in helping to find a cure. The people with blood cancers are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
