Past the Half-way Point: Let's Finish Strong!
Welcome! I am training to participate in the May 2008 Wildflower Triathlon (Olympic distance) in Monterey, California as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.

We just completed our triathlon training weekend at Lake San Antonio and I was thrilled with the results! I swam 0.9 miles in 40 minutes, biked 26 miles in 1 hour 49 minutes, and ran 6.2 miles in 52 minutes and 30 seconds. Now we're putting the finishing touches on our training, and learning how to improve our open water skills and make fast transitions. Race day will be brutal but at least I know now that I can do this!
