Running for Lisa!
Help me reach the finish line...and help fight cancer!
On October 22nd, I will run the Chicago Marathon, 26.2 miles, to raise money for the fight against cancer.
In June of 1999, I lost my beautiful and beloved sister Lisa to cancer. She meant the world to me, and I miss her more than words could ever express. Lisa fought cancer with immeasurable bravery and courage. I run to remember my sister, to honor her courage, and also to acknowledge the pain and fear she endured with unwavering dignity and grace.
I would have run a million miles to save Lisa. Running the Chicago Marathon is not only my way of honoring her, but also continuing the fight against the disease that took her life far too soon.
If you'd like to help, please submit a donation today! With your donation, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be able to fund important research in the fight against cancer!
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!

Training is going very well so far! I love running with my team - they are such a great group of people. It's not hard to get up for a 6:30 run on Saturday mornings when I know I have such an inspirational group to run with!!

The weeks have flown by, and training is going very very well! I meet my teammates several times a week to run, getting up early on the weekdays and hitting the roads before the sun comes up! We had a great 18 mile run on Saturday and are looking forward to another one next Sunday at the Lewis & Clark Half Marathon!
Your generosity and support are what keep me running! Thank you to all of my wonderful supporters, and to my teammates for making marathon training so much fun!
