Mighty Mouse's Mind Over Matter (1/2) Marathon
The mouse that roared racing to save lives
Ok-- I know I haven't updated in a while. I am remiss. But continuing to train, starting the school year and getting a recital ready all at once has left little time for anything else. Today is Saturday-- the day before the race!!! I will be leaving the house in about an hour to travel to pasta party and hotel for the night. Thanks to all who have supported me in so many ways and to all who have supported the LLS cause with your donations. You really are an amazing, wonderful bunch of friends, family, acquaintences, co-workers. I have been so grateful for all the support all along the way. You have no idea how much your words of encouragement, notes, drawings (Thanks, Punker!!), hugs, etc. help me along when the alarm goes off for a training run at 5 am! I have done 2 runs of 10+ miles and one that was 12+ along with many other trips out that were various shorter runs. According to my materials, I am ready. I will trust my materials and my divine source and assume that means I'm ready . . . ack! I am excited, even if a little nervous, and am looking forward to sharing my finish line pics and my race-day experience with all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you! "Be the ball . . ." (OK, so that's golf, not running, but we all love a great Caddyshack quote now and again.)
