Jeanne Hart's Team In Training Page
Saving lives...one step at a time!
Hello and Welcome to my Team in Training page!
May 14, 2007:
Today is a great day! I reached my minimum fundraising goal. Thank you SO much for your generous donations. It means so much to me and to the patients & families who have been affected by blood cancers. The San Diego marathon is only a couple weeks away and I can't wait to cross that finish line. It's going to be such an amazing experience!
You all have been instrumental in helping to accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma which brings increased hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases. THANK YOU for that.
The fight is not over, though and if this is your first time visiting my page I hope you will still make a donation. Help advance the Society's mission! 75% of our fundraising goes STRAIGHT to research new drugs/treatments, and STRAIGHT into the hands of our patients!
A little background... In 2003 a very close childhood friend of mine was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Amelia passed away on November 7, 2006 and I am walking the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon on June 3rd in her honor and memory. Amelia was a fighter and she rarely let Leukemia get her down. She is my inspiration when training gets tough and I know her spirit will be with me, cheering me on when my mom and I walk the marathon this June.
I am extremely thankful to have a wonderful group of family and friends supporting me in this. Special thanks to those who are flying or driving down to San Diego to be with me when I cross the finish line. Extra special shoutout and thanks to my best friend and top donor, Jon Barker. Your support means the world to me.
THANK YOU for visiting and I hope you will join me in the fight for a cure.
