Micah Shelton's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
In the past four years I have raised almost $10,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with the help of many of you. I started all this because I lost my oldest brother Eric to cancer. Along the way I have met and become friends with many more reasons to raise money to fight blood cancers.
I have run marathons, raced in triathlons and ridden centuries. At the beginning the teams were full of people training in memory of a lost loved one. Slowly more people were training to support someone undergoing treatment. I started this season with three teammates that were survivors.
It was exciting for me and proof that what we were doing was working. They are still my teammates, but unfortunately they aren’t able to ride with us anymore. Gordie and Benedict had relapses and are currently undergoing treatment. Audrey, another teammate, went in for a stem cell transplant and is now recovering very well.
I know I have asked and many of you have given very generously before. I thank you for that very sincerely even if I didn’t express it at the time. I am asking you again because the fight continues for Gordie, Benedict, Audrey and thousands of others just like them.
On March 10th I am taking a team to Solvang, CA to ride 100 miles. Last year was my first year as a coach and I had an amazing group that finished with smiles on their faces. This year we’re planning the same thing. We’ve raised over $76,000 so far and I know we will raise more.
I have until April 10th to raise $2,100. Please do what you can to help me reach my goal and you'll be helping find cures for lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. Click the "Donate Now!" button to the left or email me.
