Racing to Save Lives

I Did It!

I finished last year's San Diego Marathon just seconds behind the Kenyan who took first!

Ok, not really... but many who know me knows that will never happen. Hey, who knows, I may someday.

The Reality

At last year's Nike Run Hit Remix in LA, I BARELY finished infront of some guy pushing his baby on a stroller (note the pink arrow above)

With that said, I'm not running to win any medals, but I am training for my third marathon (San Diego's Rock N Roll Marathon on June 1, 2008) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. How many miles you ask? 26.2 miles. I'll do all the hard work for you. It WILL be challenging. By mile 2 I'll want to give up, but all of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

I'm running this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. I run for those who can't. I remember at the Arizona Marathon, one lady was standing all by herself on the side, holding a sign, with the words, "Thank You. I'm Alive." These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

If you're like me, and you're one of those who say, "Oh, I'll donate later", please bookmark this page, as my deadline for funds is May 15, 2008. Sooner the better though. Any donations from $1 to $100,000 is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
