Running to save lives... and to beat last year's time!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the 2008 San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter. Last year, I participated for this event and did self-training as preparation for the whole 26.2 miles. This time, I've decided to not just run for a great feeling of achievement but to also run for a great cause. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. My mother, Josefina Lebardo, recenly battled adenocarcinoma, cancer along the lining of her uterus. We are still waiting to see if the battle to fight cancer was successful. Regardless, these people, like my mother, are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
