Above The Clouds (the film) is a candid view into one individual’s journey to complete the Angeles Crest 100-Mile Endurance Run. Aptly named not only for a race that places its runners high above the morning clouds of Los Angeles, Above The Clouds highlights a quest to raise money for cancer research in memory of a little angel who lost her own battle last year. Far from a sentimental picture; this documentary is an intense look into the determination, passion and cult of “Coach” Jimmy Dean Freeman; visionary, part time superhero and an inspiration to thousands of runners across the country.
