Wow. All I can say is Thank You so much for all of your support. We're nearing the finish line for fundraising and you all made this happen. Mom is in her first round of consolidation and things are going as expected. Dad has done an amazing job getting the home set up so they can stay there through treatment. Dad...you're a rock. Anna, our 3 yr old Team Hero, is going into maintenance. Yipee!! Go Anna! And Anna's dad is training hard with us. Thank you again for making the road to a cure a reality.

As a team we are finishing our 3rd week of training. We are getting to know each other well and preparing for the increase in mileage. I want to thank everyone who has donated so far. Words cannot express what this means to me and my family. I want to extend a warm 'hello' to our team's hero Anna. She is only 3 yrs old and is fighting ALL. She is a spunky little girl who lights up a room. To know she is going through the same ups and downs as my mom is heartbreaking and yet inspiring that she has the strength and resolve to fight this and she's still happy :). All my love to friends and family. -M
Welcome!
As many of you already know, my mom was diagnosed with AML in June. I am training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training to participate in the Walt Disney World Marathon in January 2007. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I'm completing this marathon in honor of my mother many others who are battling blood cancers. This is more than a marathon for those who are fighting this battle and I hope that I can inspire you as my mother has inspired me and never give up.
