Eddie Hudson's Team In Training Page
Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
MY FRIENDS ARE AWESOME!!!! Thanks to wonderful people like you, I have met my fundraising goal and our Tahoe Team from Georgia has raised over $152,000 for this cause. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support. Ya'll are AWESOME! I have met so many wonderful people through this project that have really been a blessing to me. I had no idea going into this that so many people had been affected by this disease. During this project I came across a young boy named Kyler Koning. Here is the email his father sent me:
Eddie,
Thank you for what you are doing. My son, Kyler, was diagnosed with A.L.L. a form of Leukemia about a year and a half ago when he was 20 months old. He is now 3-1/2. He is in remission and the prognosis is good. My family and I are heavily involved in the "Light the Night" event here in Indianapolis. So, that is where our fundraising efforts go.
However, we will put the date of JUNE 4TH on our calendar and pray for you and the riders that day.
God Bless,
Brian Koning
My son Taylor saw me setting up this website and asked what I was doing. When I told him, he went to his room and came back and gave me a $20 bill he had received for his birthday! He told me he wanted to help the people with cancer. With tears in my eyes I took his donation and told him how wonderful that was of him. He was my first contributor! I know he will get pushed off this page by the larger donations from people like you so I wanted to share this story here. What a blessing it is to have a son with a heart that big!
I am proud to add to the story of my children's big hearts. On April 14th my daughter, Alexa, turned 7. She opened one of her cards and it contained a $20 bill. When she took it out she brought it to me and told me she wanted to help the kids with cancer. I am the very lucky father of two beautiful children!
I appreciate you taking the time to visit my site. I want to thank you in advance for your support of my efforts to do all I can to help find a cure. I am training to participate in a Century (100 mile bike ride) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this century in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
We are headed out this weekend, April 29th & 30th to Warm Springs for a long ride. Over 60 miles on Saturday and 30 more on Sunday. Saturday's ride will be the longest I have ever done! I am very excited about this ride. I will let you know how it goes.
