Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page! I hope that you can help me with this VERY special request!

All of us have been touched by cancer in some way. Many of us have lost loved ones to this disease or know of someone who has gone through this battle. For that reason I’ve decided, once is not enough! I am going to participate in my 2nd marathon. My sights are set on October 28th, when I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC. I’m doing this event again with TNT, in fact I don’t think that I could do it without them.

No, I haven’t completely lost my mind! You may think I’m crazy (you are not alone), but I am very excited! The past support, the incredible feeling of completing the Chicago Marathon, and the feeling of helping fight the disease has stayed with me and is motivating me to run another 26.2 miles.

My TNT Honored Hero for DC is Meredith Alger, she's a 24 year old Hodgkins survivor. Along with Meredith I will be running for family members & friends who have fought with cancer and have survived: Bunny Daltorio (Aunt), Deanie Harvill (Granny-in law) & Kristin Millar (Friend). I keep Brady Scott close to heart as he was my Honored Hero for the Chicago Marathon. I’m happy to report he had his last dose of chemo on May 14th. Brady is now 8 years old.

I also will be running in memory of my family loved ones who lost their battles to cancer: Katie Cannane (Cousin) & Charlotte Daltorio (Aunt).

These individuals among the others who are struggling currently are my true inspiration!
