Racing for a Cure...One Mile at a Time!
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am training to participate in the Walt Disney World Marathon (yes, that is 26.2 miles!) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training.
As many of you know, Team In Training is the world's largest endurance training program. As we train to complete our events, we are raising funds to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma.
I'm completing this event in honor of my sweet little girl, Kate, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for pre-B ALL (leukemia). I am brought to tears each time I consider the fact that had Kate been born 40 years ago there would have been no treatment for her cancer. Now, she has an 80% chance for a cure.
There is still so much research to be done for other blood cancers and more resistant forms of leukemia. Kate and many others with blood cancers are the real heroes on our team and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission by clicking on the Donate Now tab to the left.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
GTS today we ran 5 miles. My knee was hurting quite a bit but I managed fine. I hope that this tendonitis thing gets better soon!
GTS - Ran 6 miles tonight with the crew. My knee didn't hurt too badly but I don't think I have quite broken in my new shoes yet. The bottoms of my feet hurt. This weekend I am going to run 8 miles. I have to start getting ready for the Thanksgiving Day 1/2 marathon!
GTS - Ran from Big Peach tonight 8 miles! Didn't feel great because working the last 2 nights until 3 am but I did it! This weekend....12 miles!
