Riding to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in the Fletcher Flyer ( a 100 mile ride in Asheville, NC) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
Training Update - 3/19/2007
Training Miles: 791
Things I saw on my rides this past weekend...- The first thing I saw were frozen puddles on the side of the road. Yep, it was that cold when we started on our 65 mile ride.
- The ride had nearly 2000 ft of cumulative climbing. I haven't done that amount of climbing since we moved here.
- I also saw that the Carolina chapter of Cowboys for Christ's headquarters is on none other than Pagan Road. I thought that was funny.
- Three groups of 3 or more vultures flying out of the woods when I turned the corner. Those birds are huge.
- My fund raising is coming right along. I am now at 104% of my goal! Thank you very much for your support.
