Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I am training to participate in another endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this endurance event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

This cause is very special to me as I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in July 2004 and underwent months of chemotherapy and daily radiation treatments. I am happy to report that I completed my treatment in April 2005 and am currently in remission. For those of you that supported me during the past fundraising campaign I am happy to report that I raised over $3500 with the help of generous donors such as yourself. I completed the Country Music 1/2 Marathon in Nashville the end of April. Therefore, I am now fundraising for the Nike Woman's Marathon in San Francisco in Oct. The research that is funded by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is definitely working. Less than 40 years ago, a child diagnosed with leukemia had less than a 4 percent chance of survival. Today, that same child has over an 80 percent chance of survival. That’s an amazing increase in survivorship, but it’s still not good enough. Not when two out of every ten children fighting leukemia will lose their battle to it this year.
