Laurie Halse Anderson's Team In Training Page
A Writer Races to Save Lives
I'm training to run the Lake Placid Half Marathon (13.1 miles) in June with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. My run is in honor of my cousin, Darcy Skinner, who is battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma right now.
I need your help. Please donate on this page to support my race. Ask your friends, co-workers, and classmates to join me, too. You can donate as a class, a writer's group, a book club, or a family.
Books are written one page at a time, races are run one step at a time, and the cure for cancer is funded one dollar at a time. No pledge is too small. You can learn more about the fight against the blood cancers at: http://www.leukemia-lymphoma.org/hm_lls
Follow my running progress on my blog: http://halseanderson.livejournal.com/. Check back here to watch the fundraising total climb to the sky.
I am very grateful for your support. Thank you so much!
P.S. Keep writing, keep reading, keep running...
