Pam's Journey with Team In Training
Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
As many of you know and for those of you who did not know I had open heart surgery in September of 2005 and am doing very well. Since I have been given a second chance at life I have decided to run a marathon however I decided to run a marathon with a purpose.
So I joined Team in Training and I will be running the Women's Nike Marathon on October 21, 2007. I will attempt to raise $5000 to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma from taking more lives. You may be asking yourselves why this cause?
Back in 1991 I lost my 57 year old mother to pancreatic & liver cancer that same week I also lost my best friend Lisa Lane to Lymphoma she was 23 years old. I also lost another close friend a few years later named Beth she was in her mid 30’s and currently I have a friend named Scott and a dear friends teenage son who are both battling this awful disease.
These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please help me with these goals by donating generously. The funds go directly to research and patient services. All contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Thank you for choosing to make a difference.
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
