The Race Continues...
Wow! What a season thus far...
Time for a brief update! As you can see I have been very busy with FUNdraising events this season. In addition to my own training and fundraising, I am also a mentor for the team this time around. Needless to say, I have been a busy bee getting to know my team while guiding them through training and fundraising events. There are participants racing for their very first time and others are also back for their annual commitment.
However, the most inspiring part this season, is knowing the commitment I have made to "run" again has been the right choice. I know this, because three of my team members are leukemia SURVIVORS, and IF it were not for your support, they would not be here to race for a cure.
So many of you have reached out to help me accomplish my goal through donations of items, monetary contributions, or simply a pat on the back. Please continue to spread my message below. I am learning more and more that it is just a matter of time before we find a cure and more importantly to me, the source of prevention. However, until that happens, I will continue to race.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

Yes, it’s time… I am following through with my commitment to make Team In Training an annual tradition and would like you to join me. What? You don’t like to run? It’s okay, because there are many ways you can help: making a generous donation, running by my side, or encouraging others to donate.
For those who don't know...most researchers believe that finding a cure for blood cancer will unlock the mystery behind all other forms of cancer. That's why it's so important to me that we find a cure. So this year I will be participating in the Anchorage Mayor’s Midnight Marathon in loving memory of Dawn L. Sanford and in honor of all of those battling cancer.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
For those of you who know me well, you know that running is still not my favorite thing to do! However, the race is not over. There is NO cure for blood cancer (or any cancer) and we MUST continue to race to the finish line. So please, help me race to the finish line by supporting my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.
I plan to update my site with highlights of this year's journey, so be sure to check back often!
Honored to live each day to its fullest,
Kori
