Racing to Save Lives

Steve ready to set out on a training ride in Michigan.

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am a 50-something professor of Geology at California State University, Fresno. My goal is to participate in the Tour de Tucson 100-mile bicycle endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to support research in the causes and treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, and one of my colleagues at Fresno State in particular, Dr. Lyman Heine, Professor of Political Science. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
