Kevin Egan's Team In Training Page
The Disney Marathon is no Mickey Mouse race.
I’m training for this years Disney in order to help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. My goal is $3500. Won’t you help?
You’re a nice person, right? Please direct some of your charitable contributions this year to a group of researchers who are trying to stamp out a cancer that is the number one (cancer) killer of children under 20 years of age.
I’ll keep you posted on my training. But here are some of the things I have learned already: .
.
1. HammerGel and Gatorade are not good to serve at parties.
2. Eating a packet of salt is not as gross as it sounds.
3. Don’t leave sweaty clothes in a locked Honda for any length of time.
4. People make strange noises when running at 4:30 AM .
5. The human body has more endurance and can take more punishment than I ever thought possible.
6. Auburn vs. Alabama arguments are more entertaining when people are huffing and puffing during Saturday AM long runs.
7. You can learn a lot about yourself after you meet a small child going through chemo.
8. I can spot a port-a-john in the dark, while running, from 200 yards.
9. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society staff people have a passion I admire.
10. There is nothing more important than the support of friends and family. .
Rather send a check? No problem. Make it out to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and drop it in the mail to me. Questions? Email me at Kevin@Eganonline.com Please forward this link on to your address book. You never know where support may come from.
And thanks for all you do!
