| INJURY IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH AND DISABILITY AMONG CHILDREN, TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS. Most are caused by vehicle crashes, violence, falls, and sports. The most serious, life-altering injuries are those to the brain and spinal cord, which can lead to permanent paralysis and disabling brain injuries. THE ONLY "CURE" IS PREVENTION.
The good news is, most injuries can be prevented by learning to make safe choices. The mission of the ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation is to reduce injuries through education, research and policy. Last year, ThinkFirst provided 8,000 presentations to 450,000 students and families. Please become our Partner in Injury Prevention - HELP US TEACH ALL KIDS TO THINK FIRST!
