A Million Dreams Pledge Drive

I have been volunteering for VIBHA for about 3 years now. I am one of the Action Center coordinators for VIBHA Sacramento. VIBHA is a volunteer driven organization that seeks to restore to underprivileged children their basic right to food, shelter, health and education. Founded in 1991, today Vibha has a volunteer network of 825 volunteers spread across 15 Action Centers in the U.S. and 5 Action Centers in India. Since its inception, Vibha has raised nearly 7 million dollars with the help of patrons like you and has supported more than 150,000 children through 175 grassroots projects in India and the US. These projects are thoroughly focused towards causes like the eradication of child labor, removal of children from hazardous working environments and child education to quote a few.

VIBHA's DREAM MILE (5k/10/ Walk/Run) is our flagship national event organized in more than 12 cities in the United States throughout the year. The Sacramento Edition of the Dream Mile will be held on August 29th 2009 at the picturesque Parkway Trail in Folsom, CA.

The event hopes to raise funds for underprivileged kids in India and the US through registrations and pledge drives. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 (supports 300 children). We need your help to reach that goal.

Even the smallest contribution of $5 will help make a difference in the life of an under privileged kid. For example
