| Famous Potato Marathon: Team IRC Boise |

| For 75 years the International Rescue Committee has been at the forefront of humanitarian initiatives to assist people uprooted by war, persecution, or civil conflict. IRC offices across the country have provided assistance aimed at helping refugees resettle, integrate and acquire new skills in order to become self-sufficient. This is not always easy, especially when assistance runs out before refugees find employment. Having fled widespread ethnic violence in 1972, the Burundi refugees have been our greatest challenge. These courageous individuals came from a protracted refugee situation of which only 20% are literate.
By joining Team IRC in the Famous Potato Marathon on May 17th you will be helping IRC Boise raise funds to meet the needs of this refugee population. This race is an opportunity to engage both family and friends in this important life saving work.
