| Dear Family, Friends, Clients, and Colleagues,
On September 12th, I proudly completed my first 100 mile bike ride in honor of Matthew Levine and thousands of others suffering from FSGS. I am writing to thank all of you and reiterate how much I appreciate your donation for this event. With your help I was able to QUADRUPLE my initial goal of raising $10K. I am truly humbled by the outflow of love and support I received from all of you.
The experience of training for this event has been invigorating and challenging. I am now keenly aware of how the mind and body can achieve any goal if you are dedicated and set realistic and incremental goals. I was thinking of all of you on the day of the race and used your support as extra motivation as I biked the 100 miles and reached the finish line. (See enclosed pictures)
As you know, proceeds benefit The NephCure Foundation, the only organization committed exclusively to seeking a cause and a cure for FSGS and Nephrotic Syndrome. To date, there is no common effective treatment or cure and there are no FDA approved drugs to treat these kidney diseases. This year, NephCure committed to fund over $6 million in research and education, including $1.7 million to our 2009 Scientific Research Grant Program. Keeping the researchers' funded is the only way we will find answers and your kind support has helped us to sustain our mission. I invite you to learn more about NephCure and its initiative via www.NephCure.org.
I sincerely thank you once again for your kind support!
Very Truly Yours,
Jason |
