| Welcome to Lambda Chi Alpha's Teeter Totter Home Page! On the dates of March 22nd-March 28th the Brothers and Associates of Lambda Chi Alpha will be continuously riding a 30 foot Teeter Totter in order to raise awareness and funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma will cause the deaths of an estimated 52,910 people in the United States this year. These blood cancers will account for nearly 9.4 percent of the deaths from cancer in 2008 based on the 565,650 total cancer-related deaths. Every ten minutes, another child or adult is expected to die from leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma. This statistic represents nearly 145 people each day, or six people every hour. Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20. The Teeter Totter Marathon has as it's goal to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society so they can strive to achieve their mission, which is
"The mission of LLS is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families."
The varying donation amounts listed on this page are simply the minimum amounts required to attain that level of sponsorship. Each level of sponsorship comes with a larger sized Name on the Banner that will be outside of our house during the Teeter Totter Week! Please Donate to this Worthwhile Cause!!!
