Never, ever, ever did I think that I would be crazy enough to run a marathon.
To properly undertake such a task, one needs motivation, drive and inspiration: Lisa Anne and Jeff provided me with the motivation; the rest of the TMF board, the drive; and my family with ample inspiration.
I am running two half marathons, as well as the New York City Marathon, in memory of my brother-in-law Bobby Laubach. I never had a chance to meet Bobby, as he passed away from a brain tumor as a very young boy over 30 years ago...but his memory lives on.
The mission of the Tug McGraw Foundation focuses on Quality of Life, which is vital to all of us, but it is even more so to patients and their families suffering with brain tumors. It is something that Bobby and my in-laws were never afforded, not during nor after his diagnosis.
I am running on his behalf - in his memory - and to bring awareness to this cause so that no one, ever, has to go through what they had to endure.
Thank you for your generous support; I appreciate it.
