Runner: Mark McGraw

Inspiration: My Father, Tug McGraw

(Team McGraw is happy to have Mark as a runner for both the 2008 New York City Marathon and the 2008 Philadelphia Distance Run.)

I am proud to be running the ING New York City Marathon 2008 as a member of Team McGraw for the Tug McGraw Foundation.

The Foundation seeks to raise awareness and improve the quality of life for those patients and caregivers confronted with brain tumors. As a part of Team McGraw, I am raising funds to support research in this effort.

I will also be running on behalf of my father, Tug McGraw, such that I can share in a better understanding of the impact of this disease.

Thank you so much for your support as I tie on my running shoes and take to the streets with Team McGraw on behalf of the Tug McGraw Foundation, and I appreciate your donation.

I hope that in your life time you see the day when the number of patients and their families who are impacted by this terrible affliction approaching a number close to zero. I am sure your Father is watching you from the best seats in the stadium with pride at what you are doing, is smiling because of the man you have become. Wishing you the best with the run and with all aspects of your life. You, like your Father, are a very special man. Robert E."
