I am hitting the pavement and am thrilled to be running the ING New York City Marathon this year with Team McGraw.
I am running in honor of Nathan Raun who died of brain cancer. Nate was one of the trio of best friends that included my baby brother Andrew, one of my biggest supporters. My words will never do justice in telling you who Nate was. I know he is with me every day when I train, and he will be with me the entire 26.2miles of the marathon.
This is really my chance to make a difference for those fighting this terrible battle, and I am on a vengeance! I have been handed an incredible opportunity to help others battling fight the fight against brain tumors. I am inspired and reminded constantly what we are up against. Thank you all for your continued support to me and to this incredible Foundation and for your help to make a difference for all of those afflicted by brain tumors: patients, their loved ones, and all those in a caregiving position!
If you can make it out for the race – then head this way! I would love to have you join us!
Thank you all for your bigheartedness!
