I am privileged to be participating in the 2008 Country Music Marathon and 1/2 Marathon as a member of Team McGraw for the Tug McGraw Foundation. Last fall, I organized a 5K walk at my school to create awareness for individuals living with brain tumors. Over 50 children and their families participated and supported the walk. I was humbled by the turnout, as we are a small and private school of 60 students. This event encouraged and strengthened me to continue my support for the Tug McGraw Foundation. The Foundation seeks to raise awareness and improve the quality of life for those patients and caregivers confronted with brain tumors. As a part of Team McGraw, I am raising funds to support research in this effort.
