Everyone has a sense of what they would like to accomplish. Running a marathon was #26 on my “to do” list. I’ve been a runner almost my entire life, excluding those wild college days when regular exercise and every other component of a healthy lifestyle went out the door. After graduation, I moved to Vermont and got back into the healthy swing of things.
I ran my first marathon last year in Cape Cod, an accomplishment that was more of a private victory than anything else. This year, I am not running for myself. I am running for those who are suffering, surviving, and living with cancer. I am running for others as a proud participant of Team McGraw in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2008. Each donation helps the Tug McGraw Foundation achieve its mission of supporting research to improve the length and quality of life for people with brain tumors.
I will also be running the marathon on behalf of someone who has been personally touched by this disease.
Your help will ensure that I can reach my goal of finishing the Chicago Marathon and more importantly, help others finish their goal of living full lives during their battle with cancer.
A simple "thank you" could never be enough....
