I am a 42-year-old soccer mom, living in St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband and two sons. I work in product development for Target.com. My favorite pastimes include running, swimming, cycling and getting together with my six siblings and their families.
I am running the NYC Marathon in honor of my youngest brother, Jeff, a 3+ year survivor of glioblastoma multiforme. Jeff epitomizes the “ya gotta believe” spirit, exhibiting incredible strength and determination through four surgeries, a brain bleed and countless rounds/doses of chemo and medications. His limitless courage and fight have inspired me to run the NYC marathon.
Since Jeff’s diagnosis, I have been searching for significant ways to help him and the brain cancer cause. When I heard about Team McGraw, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and funds to make a meaningful difference for Jeff and other brain cancer patients. I love to run, and I love my brother. What a great way to let him know that his family supports him and believes! ____________________________________________________________
