I wanted to join NYLI as a way to become more involved with the hemophilia community on a national level, and to give back to those who have shaped me into the person that I am today.
I have been a part of NYLI for four years. Locally, I started out as a camp counselor at Camp Bold Eagle in Holton, Michigan. I have done a lot of volunteer work as well, including fundraising, education, advocacy, and youth programming. I was on the Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation's board of directors for one year, and I am currently a member of the advocacy committee. Nationally, I have done youth programming for several states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Globally, I am currently an intern at the World Federation of Hemophilia and the project manager of the World Federation of Hemophilia USA. |
