I was excited about joining NYLI because I knew that it would allow me to meet and work with young adults in our community from all over the country. I have met some of my best friends as a result of NYLI and made some really amazing contacts over the years.
Since joining NYLI, I have become much more involved on the local level. I am the first and only person with von Willebrand disease on the board of directors of my local chapter. |
