| I have always had an interest in giving back to our chapter, especially after my first visit to camp, when I was about 10 years old. When I was finally old enough to volunteer I went back to Camp Boggy Creek, and spent my first week there as a Leader in Training. The executive director of our chapter brought NYLI to my attention, and when I read about it I knew it was a great opportunity to learn new ways to help in my community. Little did I know that not only would I help locally but I could fly to different cities and help with conferences and national meetings as well. NYLI has provided amazing opportunities for me. Any young adult looking for a way to give back should definitely join. |
