I was selected by my chapter for NYLI and I thank them and the NHF for this opportunity all the time. Before that time, I just went to the meetings and felt like I didn't have a place or direction on what I wanted to do with my life. Now I do.
I have worked for a local nonprofit hemophilia foundation (HAVEN-Hemophilia and Von Willebrand Education Network), volunteered at chapter events and worked at the local hemophilia camp. I have been on NYLI going on four years. Every year brings new experiences, friendships and adventures. I have helped out with numerous NHF On The Road meetings, June Leadership Weekends, Washington Days and Annual Meetings. |
