I wanted to join NYLI to better serve the community that has helped me grow so much in life. Growing up with a bleeding disorder was hard, but having support made it easier. I want future generations to have a comfortable place to go for questions and concerns, like the ones so many of us have had.
On a local level, I have been a part of the Central Ohio Chapter, I'm a camp counselor at Camp Bold Eagle in Michigan, I've given speeches on my bleeding disorder and encouraged people to get tested.
I also serve on the FAMOHIO planning committee and board, holding a voting seat. |
