The Esplanade Association (TEA) is a dynamic nonprofit organization that works to restore and enhance Boston’s historic Charles River Esplanade. One of the most iconic and popular urban parks in the country, the Esplanade comprises three miles of parkland stretching along the shore of the Charles River. Please click here to visit The Esplanade Association website.
TEA is honored to be the only environmental charity selected by the Boston Athletic Association. This opportunity will raise critically important funds for the restoration and enhancement of Boston’s Charles River Esplanade while expanding awareness of TEA and the work we do on behalf of the millions of people who visit the park each year.
While long years of inadequate maintenance and funding have taken a toll on the Esplanade, significant progress is being made to reverse that trend. With the help of TEAM ESPLANADE, we will continue to work to reverse the park’s decline.
The funds raised by TEAM ESPLANADE will support:
- Park protection and planning
- Dock and historic granite landing restoration
- Tree care and renewal
- Landscape restoration
- Community enrichment, outreach, and volunteer programs
- Replacement of park amenities including water fountains and trash barrels
