On June 11, 2008 myself and three other riders as well as ten crew members will be racing across America in what has been called the world's toughest endurance event. Not only has our team CYCLE SMART set the goal of finishing in 7 days we have also set a goal of raising $180,000 for organizations that support our local community.

I am riding for two charities, the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Vista School. Both of these organizations focus on issues that have had a very personal and special meaning to me as well as directly support and assist members of our local community.

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition represents and supports breast cancer survivors and their families in Pennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and unique outreach initiatives.

The Vista School, located in Hershey, Pennsylvania provides an alternative educational and therapeutic program to prepare children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to function in the community with increasing independence.
