We will be running the Austin Marathon in support of the Colorado River Foundation. We are writing to ask for your help in raising funds because we think it's important that we all join together as a community to help preserve and protect OUR River.

The Colorado River Foundation is the only organization in Texas dedicated to preserving and protecting our Colorado River through natural science education, outdoor recreation programs, annual river cleanups, and additional community projects that encourage the stewardship, awareness, and protection of the Colorado River in Texas.

How can you help? You can support us in the race by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Colorado River Foundation in our names when We run the Austin Marathon on February 20, 2011.

A gift of $25 helps equip a classroom of students with Field Journals that guide them through their field exploration experience at the Wilkerson Center at Redbud.

A gift of $40 gives one underserved child the opportunity to experience first-hand the thrill of floating the river.

A gift of $50 helps provide local teachers with innovative water science curriculum for use in their science classroom.

A gift of $75 helps educate, train and provide our VOLUNTEER Redbud Educational Docents with the tools they need to deliver our incredible Redbud Educational Programs.

A gift of $100 helps recycle trash collected during our annual Lake Travis Cleanup.
